20 August 2010 The authorities in Wielkopolskie voivodship have issued environmental approval for plans to extend the Poznan fast Tram in the direction of the railway station, PAP announced.
The authorities want to build a tram line 2 km in length that will connect the existing line with western railway station. The undertaking represents a part of the city’s preparations for the Euro 2012 football championship. It will require outlays of PLN 85m (E20.8m), PLN45m (11m) of which will be covered by EU sources.
