The Task Force EURO 2012 is an initiative of EUNITE and FME-CWM and was founded shortly after the successful bid of the co-hosts Poland and Ukraine for the organization of the EURO 2012. In close cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, we now have a long term program in place. The Task Force EURO 2012 aims to use the momentum of EURO 2012 for Dutch companies to assist Poland and Ukraine and after 2012 continue to serve as trusted partner for public and private partners.

 

The organization of the EURO 2012 does not only provide Poland and Ukraine the opportunity for international exposure and presentation, but will also call for investments in infrastructure and the building of new football stadiums, training centres, hotels, hospitals, etcetera. 

 

The Netherlands have a unique reputation internationally in infrastructure and building technologies. The Dutch sector can offer significant added value to investments in both countries in the field of Dutch design, innovative solutions, use of sustainable building materials and fast prefab construction methods.

 

The long-term aim of the Task Force is to enable Dutch Engineering companies, contractors and suppliers, to profit optimally from the opportunities and chances of the EURO 2012. Initially the focus lies on public infrastructure (roads, railroads and airports) and private construction (stadiums, sport facilities, hotels, utility buildings, etc). As 2012 comes closer topics like IT, security, fanzones and catering will be included, thus ensuring the Dutch experience in organising such an event in two countries (EURO 2000) will benefit Poland and Ukraine as well.
